Anil Sharma’s directorial venture, which released on August 11, has entered the 300 crore club on its 8th day post its release. Like its first installment ‘Gadar’, ‘Gadar 2’ is enthralling the audience and is breaking box office records at a rapid pace. Now it remains to be seen whether ‘Gadar 2’ will be able to break the record of ‘Pathaan’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan, the highest grossing film of the year so far.

‘Gadar 2′ had crossed the 200 crore club within a week of its release and had a total domestic collection of Rs 283 crore in seven days. On its eighth day (August 18), the film has collected Rs 19.05 crore in India. The film has crossed the 300 crore mark in just eight days thanks to Sunny Deol‘s powerful acting and mesmerising songs. The total collection of ‘Gadar 2’ in India is around Rs 304.13 crore.
Will ‘Gadar 2’ beat Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’?
At the same time, the speed with which ‘Gadar 2’ is earning, people are speculating that the film can leave behind the collection of ‘Pathaan’, the biggest hit of Shah Rukh Khan‘s career. The worldwide collection of ‘Pathan’ was Rs 1027 crore, while in India it earned Rs 529.7 crore in all languages. Pathan collected Rs 17.50 crore on the eighth day after its release, taking the total domestic collection to Rs 348.50 crore.
