Box Office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan keeps soaring high on day 2, creates new milestones

Box Office Collection: It’s the season of megahits in the film industry and the Box Office can’t seem to take the overloading pressure. Gadar 2 had already created a lasting mark and it still continues to do so. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan landed in the theatres with an earth-shattering opening creating history. Its day 1 collection ascribed to it the honor of the biggest-ever opening for a Hindi-language movie. Now on day 2, Atlee’s film continues to wreak havoc at the Box Office with its global collection crossing beyond Rs. 200 crore.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan becomes overwhelming at Box Office

Jawan is not a film anymore, it’s a sensation that has ignited the entire cinema world. Even before its official release, the film broke several records during pre-sales. The film finally hit the theatres on 7th September after 3 months of delay. It wrecked the Box Office by getting the highest opening collection in Hindi-language cinema by amassing a staggering Rs. 74 crore breaking Pathaan’s record which was Rs. 57 crore.

But it is not stopping there yet, its estimated collection for Friday is Rs. 53 crores, bringing the 2-day collection to a whopping Rs. 127 crores in India itself. While the Hindi version of the movie has been the biggest contributor yet, its Tamil and Telugu versions are not far behind. On day 2, the 2 versions had 40% and 50% occupancy respectively in theatres.

Global collection and expected future milestones

Jawan’s tremendous launch is drawing attention from all over the world. According to acclaimed trade analyst, Manobala Vijayabalan, the film has already gone beyond the 200 crore mark globally. On the other hand, the Indian Box Office affirmed that the film’s 2-day collections have taken it up to Rs. 230 crore worldwide.
