Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas: Gadar 2 has been making huge waves in Bollywood ever since it was released. The much-anticipated sequel of “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” released almost a decade ago, is getting a lot of praise from every nook and corner. Director Anil Sharma has yet again met all the expectations of viewers. Words of appreciation were bestowed upon Sharma by many celebrities as well and now, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas have also boarded the cruise of praise.

With a heartwarming gesture, Priyanka and Nick congratulated director Anil Sharma for tremendous success of the film. The couple sent a bouquet with a personalized note to Sharma congratulating him on the awesome success of the movie. Priyanka made her debut in Bollywood in the movie The Hero: Love Story of a Spy which was also directed by Anil Sharma.
Sharma also expressed gratitude by posting on X (formerly known as Twitter) the pictures of the gift he received from the couple.

Priyanka acknowledges Anil’s kindness
Priyanka also happened to share earlier how Anil showed kindness toward her in her time of need. She shared on The Howard Stern Show, “I was supposed to play this lead, and I was shifted to a supporting character. That filmmaker (Anil Sharma) was very kind… He, while the tide was against me, said, ‘It will be a small part, but give it your all.’ And I did.”
Gadar 2 gross collection
Gadar 2 is being widely acclaimed all over India and it can be seen in digits. The film is nearing the ₹ 400 crore mark and could possibly cross it as anticipated by Anil himself. On the 11th day post its release the film collected ₹13.50 crore. Anil thanked the fans and the entire crew on X for the record-breaking success of the movie and expressed hope in crossing the 400-crore mark.
The essence of Gadar
In 2001, when the first part “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” was released, fans bestowed upon it all the love they had since it spread across the message of patriotism, love and brotherhood. The film was set in 1947 during the partition of India and Pakistan where a truck driver, Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), saves a Pakistani woman Sakeena (Ameesha Patel) who had become a victim of the riots. Tara Singh marries Sakeena publicly to save her life and thus the love story of the two begins. Gadar 2 is set in 1971 during the India-Pakistan war. It follows the events of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, where Tara Singh strives to get back his son who has been captured in Pakistan.
