Gadar 2 Pakistan’s Reaction: Sunny Deol’s explosive dialogue sends shock waves among Pakistani people, reactions caught on video

Gadar 2 Pakistan’s Reaction: Sequel of the highly anticipatedGadar – Ek Prem Katha’ ‘Gadar 2’ is ruling the box office in India after its 23-year-gap. Though the movie has not released in Pakistan, the teaser and trailer has sent shockwaves and garnered reactions from the neighbouring country. The narrative and powerful performances seem to have left an indelible mark on Pakistanis, raising eyebrows and stirring discussions across the border.

A tale of nationalism and discord

While Gadar 2 has successfully struck a chord with residential Indians and NRIs by invoking powerful nationalist sentiments, it appears to have struck a nerve in a country with a history of strained relations with India, particularly over the Kashmir issue. The previous installment, Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, also delved into the Indo-Pak tensions that emerged from the aftermath of the 1947 partition. Building on this thematic thread, the sequel unfolds against the backdrop of the 1971 war between the two nations.

In the teasers, Sunny Deol’s character ‘Tara Singh’ delivers a striking response to a Pakistani army officer’s pledge to free Kashmir. Sunny’s powerful dialogue, “Kisse azaadi dilaoge tum? Agar yahan ke logon ko dobaara mauka mile na Hindustan me basne ka, toh aadhe se zada Pakistan khali ho jayega. Katora le ke ghumoge, bheekh bhi nahi milegi,” has generated a myriad of reactions from Pakistanis. The response ranges from a mix of humor, bravado, and some reflections on the two nations’ shared history.

Pakistan’s reaction

The impact of Gadar 2 has led to amusing and interesting conversations among Pakistanis. When asked about their thoughts on the film, a Pakistani individual said, “Whatever may be our situation, but we have the courage to overpower our enemy. As far as I know, the Pakistanis have defeated India in four wars,” to which the reporter gently corrected the historical record. Another enthusiast boldly stated that “1 Pakistani soldier is better than 1000 Indian soldiers,” while asserting that Pakistan has emerged victorious in four wars with India. A more extreme claim came from a Pakistani citizen who challenged Sunny Deol to a one-on-one duel.

While some Pakistanis voiced a sense of confidence and pride, others recognized the challenges facing their country. Some expressed that if given the opportunity, they would consider leaving Pakistan for India.
