A fatal road mishap resulted in the loss of his right leg, casting a pall of uncertainty over his future in the film industry. The tragic incident happened on June 24th on the Mysuru-Gundluper highway near Bengaluru, leaving the actor with life-altering injuries. Despite immediate medical intervention, doctors were compelled to amputate his right leg beneath the knee to save his life.
The Accident: A Detailed Overview
Suraj Kumar, also widely known as Dhruwan, was on a biking expedition to Ooty from Mysuru when the accident occurred. Trying to outpace a tractor at around 4 pm, he lost control of his bike and collided with a tipper lorry near the Hirikati Gate in Gundluper taluk. He was speedily transferred to Manipal Hospital in Mysuru, where doctors made the hard decision to amputate his leg.
